Caddonfoot School Celebrations
The Heritage Hub has recently been working with volunteers from Caddonfoot Primary school to pull together information and stories on the history of the school. Stories found include the school coping with the effects of bad weather, proof that some things never change! We also see the effects of the two World Wars on day to day school life.
An exhibition shall be held in the school this coming weekend featuring some of the information found amongst other items from the school and members of the public. There has been a local school at Caddonfoot since the 1840s and it has been extremely rewarding to help piece together some of its history for this celebration ahead of its closure and relocation next year.
