HUBCAT

The Heritage Hub’s new online catalogue, HUBCAT, is now available at: http://www.calmview.eu/HUBCAT/CalmView/default.aspx

It contains collection and item level descriptions of archives and digital images of many of the items we hold. Highlights include descriptions of the:

·        Walter Mason Collection relating to the Royal Burgh of Selkirk. 1654-1955.

·        Aimers McLean & Co Ltd records. 1845-1980.

·        Burgh of Hawick Archive. 1537-c.1984.

·        Burgh of Duns Archive. c.1665-2000.

·        Burgh of Galashiels Archive. 1850-1995.

·        Kelso Silver Band Archive. 1948-Jan 1975.

Images are available of the 12th century Hawick missal fragment, a sketch of Jedburgh Abbey drawn in 1777, a 19th century plan of the weaving shed at Ettrick Mills and other interesting items.

Although HUBCAT does not yet contain information about all our holdings, we are continuously expanding the number of archives described in the catalogue and are sure it will be a very useful resource.
